Acknowledging Mobile's Rich Music History

The City of Mobile, Alabama has produced many internationally celebrated singers and musicians but are unsung at home. A group of culturally inspired non-profits and others have partnered to celebrate and perpetually acknowledge Mobile Music Legends with the purpose of "Preserving Mobile's Music History for Future Generations".
Fred Wesley is an American trombonist born in Mobile, Alabama who worked with James Brown in the 1960s and 1970s, and Parliament-Funkadelic in the second half of the 1970s
Lil Greenwood was an American jazz and R&B singer and songwriter born in Mobile, Alabama.
